@theOddPixl It's a repeat request from players over the years but the reason for it is due to the fact it would slow the game down too much. The Sims 4 is bigger than previous games. Using Sims 3 Pets on console as an example, I used the colour wheel a lot but on a much much smaller game. I've got 52 add-ons in this game so it's a vast difference. It's generally considered that the Sims 4 base game engine is already struggling with the game's size and to add a colour pallette would be too much for it to handle. The new options/descriptions in CAS take up a fraction of the space.
I think it's a price we pay for the massive amount of content we have in this incarnation of the game. I think the design kits are meant to mitigate that. I'd like a few more options for items myself as I like everything colour coordinated to an obsessive degree and the thing I actually miss most is wall paint and wallpaper customisation. There aren't enough interior design colours for me.
However, I understand that for PC players there are customisation Mods so if you play on PC you should be in luck. Gotta love those mods... I'm not at all green with envy!
