Do university lots need a cafeteria station?

University has always been a pack that annoyed me, no stoves or grills, assumedly for fire prevention but fireplaces are okay..? I downloaded Zerbu’s no university restrictions mod to fix that, (removed all mods for bug test) and enjoyed my gameplay in the foxbury towers, but this time I wanted to try living in the maritime manor lot. I assumed this was meant to be a regular residential lot, just only accessible to students, but for some reason vendors keep showing up. instead of cooking, making drinks or cleaning they just steal the food i’ve made and chat with my sims like they’ve moved in. The original EA build didn’t have a cafeteria station either, but I don’t know why else they would be there. If it is a requirement, please let me know, I keep having to press “make sim leave” through mccc.

  • If the lot is set as university housing, you’ll have roommates, roommates’ partners, and roommates’ friends show up occasionally. A roommate might even have a party. Are you sure the extra sims are specifically vendors?

Yes I am, i’ve had the roommates partners and stuff come over and they always have their title under the name, this is just random sims with nothing special about them except that they’re in the vendor outfits. One of them was Panya Li from for rent, who is by default a landlord but he was a vendor for one of the night market stalls when I went so now he has two jobs I guess, another was Kyle Kyleson from eco lifestyle, every time I clicked on them mccc told me they were homeless vendors. One time I literally watched a vendor walk out from the nearby booth and into my house..

This sounds like my issue! It is more than just vendors, I had Becca Clarke show up unannounced, and she goes to brichester.. I just haven’t been playing in residential lots to notice it wasn’t a DU issue, thanks!
