Dream Home Decorator can't find apartment

So I'm not sure if this needs to be a bug report or not, but I've had this issue pop up and maybe I'm just crazy but if the gig is located at an apartment, actually finding the right household is a challenge. I'll "Go to Work" and it'll load me in front of an elevator but doesn't direct me on where to go. Right now I'm supposed to go to the "Dye" household and I can't find it on manage worlds in San Myshuno (maybe I'm just not looking hard enough, I'm not sure). My feedback is, if this isn't a bug and it took me to the wrong place, is that this pack should make it easier to find the household ESPECIALLY in apartment buildings. When it's a house, it works fine. 99% of the time, my sim will automatically knock on the door. With the apartments, he just stands there swiping on a tablet. I can submit a bug report if this isn't intended behavior.

  • @trav1295Hi! Sorry to hear you having this issue.
I did some checking for you and your not alone in some issues with this. Maybe you could "Me Too" the below? (it's rather old, but it will show continuity )

    There is a small community guide / FAQ for Decorator that mentions some of these issues;

If you could add a bug report concerning above it may be helpful to yourself and others.
Hope this was at least some help for now.
    Happy Simming! 🙂

You could just try the doors when you hover over a door it should say who lives there. To find it from manage world hover over the plumbob. The popup have the last names of the households. When you click on the building a view of the apartments are opened. You can hover over each to see who lives there.

I "Me Too"'d that one but it didn't seem like it mentioned what I'm dealing with and the topic is closed so I could do a new bug report?

Believe me, that's the first thing I tried. It just said "Visit Household..." And "Move in from Gallery" or something similar but no names. I went to Manage World, and clicked on the building it took me to but not a single household in that building had the "Dye" last name. I even went to every building in San Myshuno and I couldn't find a "Dye" household. Visiting a household just caused it to end my gig and I lost it because I didn't save before traveling (which I've learned is a good habit with this career in particular).

  • @trav1295 Hi.. again 🙂
Delay in getting back to you.. ☹️
Yes please.. a new report would go a long way to help out.
Other than some things explained in the FAQ I linked you there seems to be no references to any real workarounds ☹️
I am not fond of the main suggestion.. avoid apartment jobs. More so as that was written before FOR RENT even came out! So it seems to have been a thing since City Living... Ouch.
If you have any mods or have had any may affect this somewhat.. it's harmless to try for a fix via mod style trouble shooting.
Small troubleshoot (QUICKCLEANING) that is good for MOD or UNMODDED:
Pull mod files to desktop ( if you have )
    Delete thumbcache
Repair game via EA APP repair
    Start new game
    Exit one more time
    Add mods back if applicable.
    Now sim away

Let us know if you found anything in the FAQ or if quick cleaning helped
