Eating/drinking all the ingredients!!

@Keijra I don't know if this is intentional or a bug (sounds more like the drinking water bug you mentioned).  But I do have one suggestion that might stop them a bit... buy them a lump of clay to distract them from the milk! 🤣  

@Keijra , that is why i suggested it!  It is a one time fee for an item you can use repeatedly! 🙌 At least it should distract them somewhat, as so far none of my Sims have been chugging milk because they always have been drawn to the clay!  😂

Hopefully they will fix the milk situation soon 🤞-- until then the clay is a temporary work-around! 😅

Yeah, always with the bread and cheese.  ALWAYS. Lobster thermidor? bah! Butternut gnocchi? pah!  Omelets? Eggs and Toast? phooey! Blackened Bass? Are you trying to POISON me???

BREAD.  PLAIN BREAD.  THAT'S THE GOOD STUFF! PLAIN BREAD FOR EVERY MEAL WOOHOO YEAH!!!!!!!!! They don't even make a sandwich, or put butter or jam (we have jam!) on it. Just... a naked slice of bread. PLAIN NAKED BREAD. EVERY MEAL. Unless it's cheese, which is marginally acceptable if we're out of PLAIN BREAD.

(Those of you who live in non-US countries, you have no idea how BAD plain bread is in the US. Just sayin'. I used to live in Germany, and... trust me. It comes in super convenient shapes to use as an ingredient and is 100% certified flavor free, and also has zero fiber so it can gum up your digestive tract better. I get that Henford-on-Bagley is the UK, but I also know y'all don't eat nothing but plain bread with no butter or jam on it for every single meal!)

What the heck, guys? Is this a "Hey, they want added challenge and difficulty so let's set it so Sims only want to eat ingredients and ignore all other foods if the lot has Simple Living, making it impossible to keep ingredients in the house"?

It drives me nuts too. It can’t be that hard to fix. Sims don’t help themselves to tomatoes or meat instead of leftovers so somewhere along the development line someone has omitted to make them ingredients instead of meals, Presumably someone who lives on bread and cheese.

Why is this still an issue? Also now the Ranch hand starts baking a cake.

im still having this problem with them eating bread and cheese. I noticed how this post says it's {FIXED} but I am still having the same problems. Even if there are leftovers in the fridge, they will go for the ingredients. I do have mods installed, I am not sure if that is the issue but my game is updated to the most recent version. Is there anything that I can do to fix it?

Yes, there are things you can do. Stop putting food items in the refrigerator if you don't want them to be leftovers. 

If you want to limit the bread and cheese to use as ingredients, then don't make them ahead of time. Wait until you are about to use them, and then make as many meals as necessary to use them up. If you do have some left over, throw it away to make sure nobody eats it!

Or, put the leftover ingredients in household inventory (Buy mode). I don't think food spoils while it's in household inventory, so that's actually better than the refrigerator for storage. That should prevent Sims from eating the ingredients. 

@vioIetwraith if I have ingredients in the fridge I just choose the leftovers I want them to eat by using Open instead of Get Leftovers. Then I choose their meal.

Or if there are a few Sims getting leftovers, say at breakfast I drag the plate out to the bench and get them to take a serving from the plate instead of the fridge.

It also stops the annoying Sims standing around the fridge problem.
