Eco Lifestyle - Smog Vacuum

Hi everyone! So I unlocked the Smog Vacuum and fabricated it on the fabricator. I'm a bit confused as to the use of it though. I was told that it's able to repair burnt furniture found in the dumpsters. I tried to use the vacuum, but the only unique option I get with the vacuum in my inventory is to "repair" the item with the use of bits and pieces. Am I missing something or do we STILL have to use materials when using the Smog Vacuum? If so, I'm a bit disappointed...

    That's strange. Mine has the options vacuum smog, expel smog, and clean out smog vacuum.

    @zappnickel Nope your not missing anything, it takes bits and pieces to restore the object with the smog vacuum. I just fabricated and used mine on a twin bed. It  was 830simoleons or 133 bits and pieces. I chose the latter and then sold it in build mode for the 830 simoleons.
