error code 123?

I just updated my game to the latest update and i made a sim but the moment i tried to move them into a house i got the error code: 123, saying i need to restart my game. ive restarted it, repaired it through EA, Deleted all my script mods, but it’s still happening. now it won’t let me select any of my previous households and keeps taking me back to the map. and the home screen text has a bunch of w’s where the household name would be. I’ve watched a few youtube videos and nothing helped. i’m not 1000% stressed about it since most of my households are throwaways, but i’m just annoyed. and it’s given a default name to the household i had just made.

    It seems this is an issue with the new update, not just me, so thats a bit more reassuring

    HI GOOPERs69​ 

    Could you please provide the following information

    • Did you test without any mods/cc at all ? You will probably need to try on a backup of your save game as it sounds like the game deleted your Sims (probably caused by an outdated mod)
    • What platform are you playing on (PC, Mac, Playstation, XBox) ?
    • What's the full error code you're getting ?

    • Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

      - Delete the ones you have
      - Trigger the error again
      - Check if new ones are created
      - If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.


      Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.
