Experiencing Numerous Issues on PS4
I recently bought a bunch of the DLCs during the PS4 Holiday sale and have been playing quite a bit of Sims 4 lately. I also bought the base game because I wanted to be able to play with out having to use the disc, so I had to uninstall the disc version and re-install the digital version and all the DLCs I own (I own all but University). I started a brand new save file and that is what I have been mainly playing, but I have loaded up a couple of my older Sims saves just to do some remodeling with the new content I have.
Since the start of the new Sim save I have experienced quite a few issues with the game, so I am not sure if they are bugs, known issues, or compatibility issues with the DLC. I am going to list them all here. I am playing on a PS4 Pro and none of these issues happened before the fresh install and purchase of the DLCS I just picked up.
1. Actions in the Sims queue will automatically disappear randomly and I will have to queue them all up again.
2. When choosing to "Praise", "Talk to", "Intellectual Discussion", or "Request Song" from my cat, my Sim always walks to a chair or couch, sits down and then gets up to finish the interaction. The cat could be right next to her and she will still walk away to find a seat just to sit down and get back up.
3. 50% of the time when I tell my Sim to "Have Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner" she will cook the food I told her to make and then when its done she will walk away and just stare off into a daze until I tell her to actually eat the food.
4. For the "Musical Genius" Aspiration I am at the part where I need to "Mentor Others in Music for 3 Hours" All of my skills for Guitar, Piano, Violin, and Singing are maxed out, but I am unable to mentor anyone as no one in any town I go to is playing a musical instrument to get the "Mentoring" interaction. How is someone supposed to complete this?
5. Sim will not change into her "Hot Weather" or "Cold Weather" clothes on their own when the temperature affects them. I have to manually tell them to do this.
6. NPC Sims will invite my Sims out for drinks when I text them in the morning hours between 7am and 10am. Who the hell drinks that early in the morning?
7. When an NPC Sim invites my Sim out somewhere and I hit "OK" or "Bring Along Some Friends" about 50% of the time the Sim that invited me out never shows up for the outing.
8. My Sims cat is maxed out on friendship and is companions with my Sim. The cat gets fed, played with, talked to, and paid attention to every Sim day and yet he runs away every other day. Shouldn't a happy pet want to be at home and not feel the need to run away?
9. I gave my cat the "Prowler" trait which is supposed to randomly have your cat bring you gifts. I have never had my cat find anything while prowling. Yet on my other save where I have a dog with the "Hunter" trait I get gifts all the time.
10. At various times while playing and having my Sim practice skills, the skill bar will appear above their head but when done practicing the bar doesn't go away and I have to save the game, exit, and restart for the bar to disappear.
11. When taking a Simstagram picture of your pet after exiting photo mode the game lags for a good 10 secs before going back to normal speed.
12. The game will randomly at times go into slow motion mode on its own and stay that way for several minutes before it fixes itself or I open up a menu.
13. Using the "Brooks Bridge Borough" lot for my Sim and have never moved the mail box from where it was placed, but every other day the mail carrier will tell me they couldn't reach the mail box.
14. I had my Sim take a vacation to Granite Falls with some of her friends, after a couple in game sims hours the friends disappeared and were never seen again throughout the vacation. Do they just randomly go home on their own after you paid the money to bring them?
15. My Sim has her "Cooking" and "Gourmet Cooking" skills maxed out at 10, but she seems to make more stupid mistakes while cooking more now then when she did when she was just learning. Are Sims supposed to get stupider as they get better at their skills?
16. Seasons seem to be a total mess. It snows during the Summer, it rains or storms every day of the Spring, Fall temperatures are all over the place from freezing to high temperature, and Winter is always freezing or blizzarding.
17. I added the "Gnome" trait to my Sims home. This has never activated at all on this save file. On my older save files it tells me every night when my Sims are sleeping that the Gnomes showed up and repaired things.
I know the console version has never been up to par with the PC version, but I think the game is getting more and more broken on consoles.
