You already wrote the answer yourself, EA just decided to emphasize anti-LGBTQ+ politics at the expense of the low income country. Unfortunately, this is so. They even wrote a news post about it for different countries in different ways. In the English version it is written that due to federal laws this addon will not be released in Russia, and the Russian-language post about the laws does not say anything, for Asia the post is also written differently. Everywhere from them is a lie. If the truth was in the laws, then this would be openly written in the community, they could write words of support towards the community. You are right, this does not help the community in any way, but it also breeds Russophobia in the world community, since Russian gamers have started to look like homophobes because of this.

And let's not forget - EA used the LBGTQ community in the West to throw the LGBTQ community in the East under the train. Nobody gave them the microphone to speak on behalf of the world's LGBTQ community or even the one in the USA. If they actually fought for the causes they claim to believe in - they would never have betrayed the first principles of the LGBTQ community - i.e. that of equality and freedom from discrimination. This is what happens when companies take on hot-button issues. They have no idea how to properly represent what they are claiming to support.

I fully support. Unfortunately, all social topics, feminism, racism, LGBTQ+ and others are just money for large companies. Pride month has long been a month of sales, and profits from LGBTQ+ symbols have nothing to do with the fight for rights. I wonder why the West blindly believes in this.
