Game is becoming unplayable

Question

I swear each update makes my game more unplayable. I have no mods or anything. At first it was just my plants- they all are invisible except for when there's produce to harvest, then you have random peppers and tomatoes just hanging in the air. My sims spend FOREVER standing around doing nothing, no matter how many times you reset them. If one of the adult sims gives an infant a bath, they take forever, the bath never finishes on its own and the child appears dirty still half the time even though their hygiene meter bar is full- and they always keep a little bubble hat after being removed from the bath. You can't actually wash laundry anymore either. It will be clean until it goes through the dryer- but when the dryer is done the clothing is no longer clean and shows as used (and that's when they will actually start the dang thing). The kid in my current save is going to age up with the unhappy childhood trait because her mom just stands there staring at her while she cries, no matter how many commands I give her or how many times I reset either of them. For the amount I have spent on this game I'm incredibly frustrated that it's becoming basically unplayable at this point.

emgo2&nbsp; &nbsp;Are you using mods and CC?&nbsp; Have you tried a game repair?&nbsp; What platform are you playing on?&nbsp; PC, Mac, Xbox or PS 4/5.
None of what you describe happens in my game.&nbsp; So, you have got something else going on that is causing that behavior.

As I mentioned, no I do not use mods or CC. I play on PC&nbsp;Not really sure how telling me you don't have any issues is supposed to help lol but thanks I guess?

emgo2&nbsp; My point was that it has to be something with your particular setup.&nbsp; If it was the game itself, others, including myself, would also be seeing many of those things.&nbsp; Given the number of things you've mentioned makes it difficult to narrow down the cause of your issues.&nbsp; And you haven't indicated that you've done any troubleshooting on your own.&nbsp; So, if you want to get your game to run smoothly without the things you described in your initial post, you have to give more information so I or one of the other helpers can help you get it fixed.&nbsp; While what you've posted is good info, all it basically says is you are having a lot of lag which can be caused by a number of things.&nbsp;
So, what have you done in one or more attempts to fix the issues yourself?&nbsp; Have you done one or more repairs?&nbsp; Have you tried starting a new game to see if the same things happen there?&nbsp; Have you tried creating a new user folder?&nbsp; Have you tried adjusting your graphics settings?&nbsp; Are your graphics drivers up to date?&nbsp; All of these things are things that you can do yourself to see if you can clear up the issues you are having.&nbsp;&nbsp;

I too have found some adult Sims not interacting with babies. In my case it's a grandma, looking after one when parents are at work. She'll fill all the dog bowls and feed the dog though! I wonder sometimes if EA have put in an abusive trait!

I don't have any mods, moo or cc either. I have all the packs too but the game is now too overloaded so I just start it and decorate the houses. Playing with the Sims no.
