Gameplay Crashing...

For the last few weeks every time I play SIMS4 on my MacBook the game crashes, it's super frustrating since I've rarely saved my work so I lose my progression. Pretty sure it's only been an issue since completing an update to the Macbook itself. Still just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, what can I do to fix it? It's maddening! Especially if I've just spent ages working on a build, and then it crashes and goodbye to all that work I've just done. I don't use any mods (for reference)
