Glitched hair and clothing after recent patch

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start a new game and scroll through the hair and clothing.
What happens when the bug occurs? The hair and clothes have a red and white checkered pattern with question marks.
What do you expect to see? The hair and clothing appearing normally.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I downloaded the most recent patch to improve game performance.

This started happening after the most recent patch. I don't remember all the packs it's happened with, but I know it's happened with the base game, For Rent, and Cottage Living. Also, when I select the glitched hair, sometimes it appears on the sim and other times it doesn't.
