Have toddler skill cheats been disabled?

hi! i know this post is a little dated but i am running into the same issue and i also tried your suggestion and unfortunately it did not work for me ☹️ i'm wondering if you know of any other solutions

@janinezayas   Hi!  Apologies for the delay but I just saw your post.  Did you get it to work?  I double-checked in my game just now and it is working for me.  If it's still not working for you, I just want to check a few things.

Make sure you have enabled cheats by first entering the cheat code: testingcheats on (Note for anyone reading this who plays on console, remember this cheat will disable trophies and achievements in that save)

Make sure the toddler is the active sim before entering the cheat

 - Copy > Paste > Enter is best

 - Here's the cheat again...

stats.set_skill_level skill_toddler_communication 5

Make sure you have the correct syntax if you're typing it in

 - There should be a space after stats.set_skill_level
 - Also a space after skill_toddler_communication

If it's still not working, please give as much detail as possible about what is happening in your game.  The only other way I know of to cheat skills is through mods like MCCC and UI Cheats.

PS Since this thread is slightly older, it might get closed down.  If that happens and you're still having trouble, please create a new thread.  :-)

Hi I am having this problem currently! I have typed it all in correctly, I have checked, double-checked and rechecked again just in case all aforementioned parameters weren’t met. I was utilizing this cheat to lower my toddlers’ skills to achieve milestones earlier in this save, now in this generation of the family it doesn’t work anymore. 

@SmoreCreator19   Hi!  I've never tried to lower the levels using this cheat before.  I tried it just now and it didn't work.  The cheat worked to increase communication to 5 but it would not decrease it to 2.  Since you were able to do it before, then maybe something has changed.

If you're playing on PC or Mac, perhaps you might consider using the UI Cheats Extension mod by weerbesu.  It is available on Patreon.  If you don't normally use mods, then maybe you could add it long enough to change your toddler's skill levels, then remove it from your mods folder.  If you do decide to use the mod and once it is installed, all you have to do is right click on a skill then select the level you want.

Is there any solution for console players? Currently have this same problem
