he Sims 4 won’t load – stuck on blue screen / white world map after logout

 

Hello,

After being logged out of my EA account, The Sims 4 no longer loads correctly. The game gets stuck on the blue loading screen with the green plumbob. Sometimes it returns to the “Select Family” screen, and in other cases the world map does not load at all and appears completely white.

I have already tried the following without success:

* Repairing the game
* Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
* Clearing cache (cache, cachestr, onlinethumbnailcache)
* Resetting the user folder
* Removing all Mods/CC
* Running EA App and the game as administrator

EA Support has confirmed there are no known ongoing issues and has reported this as a bug, but the problem remains on my end.

Has anyone else experienced this, or found a solution?

    Hi aftonfalk​ 

    To be sure, you have issues loading the main menu or saves ? When you reset the user folder, did you test a new save ?

    Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

    - Delete the ones you have
    - Trigger the error again
    - Check if new ones are created
    - If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.


    Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.
