I'm having an issue with the maid not showing up. The police also did not show up when I called during a burglary.
Pizza did arrive though during my initial start of the game when it has you go through the tutorial steps to get Satisfaction Points.
Needing assistance to get this fixed. Repairing does not work.
Thank you, crinrict. I do have some mods, but nothing that I think would interfere with the hired services, and I haven't changed the max character count for my lot. I ended up giving up on the core game hired services and instead installed a mod for live-in services. That has been working well so far.
I'm experiencing the same problem, with both the gardener and maid. They showed up one time, after I hired them, but never again. I only have one household member and no lot traits active. I've tried cancelling the services and rehiring them, but they have not appeared at my lot again, since that first time.
let me know if you also have issues on another lot.

crinrict I have not tested other households yet, but will be doing so shortly.
After the first time I did move lots with my current household in the same neighborhood. Household at the time only had 2 Sims at most, possibly a newborn as well.
Does it work on a new save ?
Did you test multiple households ? Did you overstuff your household with > 8 Sims ?
