Horse Ranch trouble

I bought Horse Ranch a few days ago and I have got one problem. I can't bring my horse to competitions. I don't get the option on the phone, or anywhere, to sign my horse up. I can't go to the area where the competition will be held either.

Can anyone help me?

    You can't click on the round symbols to travel. You need to pick a lot. The equestrian center isn't a lot. It's part of the world.

    For example, click on the park then you should be able to click on the equestrian center.

    Ok. I’m sorry, English isn’t my first language. I might not use the proper words when I’m trying to explain now.

    when I choose a Sim and her horse to travel and I can choose where they are supposed to go, I can not choose New Appaloosa. I can read what that little round symbol says about it (it’s for horses and riders etc), but the blue type of mark around the property that marks that you can go there/someone lives there, isn’t showing. So I can’t go there, but I can go to the other stable and train. 
    Does it make sense?
