Horses and Platforms
I've used some terrain tools on my build. I also built a barn for my horses. Annoyingly you can't lower just one part of your build (my barn is connected to the rest of the house). So that means that my horses can't get into the barn since they can't climb onto platforms (what I assume is the issue).
@JaxCat68You can do parts of your build at different heights with platforms. Foundation, on the other hand, will be applied to an entire building.
Horses can't go up steps, so yes, if you want the barn and house connected you can't use foundations. But you can raise & lower platforms on a per room basis, so you could still use platforms to give variety and even to create a deck or porch.This can actually be really useful to keep the horses out of the house:
