@EA_Cade I really think people should not be subjected to trauma from an event. Please release an opt out option.
Events should not be mandatory or intrusive or traumatic. You guys have no idea what people are going through and may need the Sims to unwind or forget about real life or DEATH. - sablesasha11 months agoSeasoned Veteran
Answer us Sims 4, we pay to play the game how we want and you're forcing this stupid quest on us. So disappointed. How long does this thing last for?
I do everything I can to disable all the supernatural spit in this game, I use cheats to delete supernatural sims whenever I see them. I will never buy the supernatural centered worlds or packs.
I want to play a slice of life game. If I wanted to play a fantasy game I wouldn't be playing the sims. If I could get rid of the reaper without worrying about breaking the game I would.
So to have an entire event devoted to imersion breaking supernatural BS is infuriating.
EA, give us an option to opt-out of any and all events!

I too, am equally upset. Is it really going to go on for 6 weeks?! :O
No wonder my password for EA Games is a swearword.
Really P'Od Sims 4.
Fix it!!!
I am upset because i used to play the sims everyday (I almost have 3000 hours logged) and I haven't been able to think about opening it since this event started because of how it takes up the screen. But I didn't even think about how this is traumatic for some people who recently went through the loss of their loved ones. EA answer us, you are disrespecting your paying customers! Fix this!!

More power to everyone who is having fun, but I'm not. This event does not interest me, the rewards don't appeal to me, and the pop-ups interrupt my gameplay.
So far, the only advice I've gotten is to just run through the Reaper challenges as fast as possible on a throwaway save, to get it out of the way. There is no (obvious) way to just say "Um, thank you, but no thank you" and avoid the entire experience.
Ironically, I'm more tempted to STOP playing Sims until this whole thing is over.

Same here. I was planning on checking out Lovestruck now they got some of the kinks worked out and then this event.
Events should not be forced on us. It is very intrusive to my sandbox game. I am not even going to go into how some may be triggered because I covered that. Just because you think the majority would enjoy it does not mean you should dismiss the minority. While some of us my be more vocal, I am sure there are others just as frustrated.

I would love to be able to opt out of future events like the Grim Reaper event. It has been a total headache and I am really wishing I could make it go away. After completing task, it doesn’t even save your spot. Every time I log in it prompts me to start over which I am not going to keep doing. So having an “opt out” option is totally an “I beg you for it” issue. Please 🙏🏽

I want to know too! I do not want to do this event, I turn off challenges and Quests in the game and this is too annoying.

I wish we would just get the free stuff when we log in instead of having to go through all of this. Honestly, EA is having a hard enough time getting their regular games to function as they should. How can they or we expect these extra events to work well?
