Is this a Life and Death feature or bug?

My sim self's wife Luna was at the end of the young adult life stage. She had a birthday, blew out the candles and aged up. One sim week later, i noticed this:

She still is displayed as Young Adult under her name and on the age bar with 210 days until age up. 

MCCC and CAS with full edit mode on displays her as an adult:

Is this a UI bug or a life and death feature?

Luna's housemate Jillian had a birthday two days after her and Jillian displays as an adult in game and her age bar is correct.

In another save, i aged up Luna again and she aged to an elder with no issues after blowing out her candles:

Luna is one step away from finishing her bucket list. Is this a game bug or a life or death feature?
