Issues with Cottage Living Map and CAS

I have been playing on Mac for a few years, but I just got Cottage Living a few days ago, and when I downloaded it, there weren't any lots generating on the map; just the blank background and the places to select traits in CAS were just blank, nowhere to click. I'm not sure if there were play issues, I was afraid to corrupt my save. I removed all CC, repaired the game, cleared cache, reinstalled, reset to factory settings, removed all packs, etc and nothing fixed it. I'm not sure if it was Cottage Living or another factor that was responsible. I would love any help fixing this, thank you!
