I just rebirthed her into a new household, and went back to the old one and had the sims view the same heirlooms. And they got an angry moodlet that says 'dead to me, some sims shouldn't be remembered ', just like in my previous save with rebirthed Sims. So rebirthed Sim's heirlooms make their family in the original household angry for some reason. That's odd I think.
