Lost all progress

I downloaded sims 4 on my PC and was 14 hours in building on a house and it tried logging in one day and it said error and wouldn’t let me play I tried restarting me pc and everything and it wouldn’t let me play so i downloaded it on steam cause its free there also and when I got in game all my progress was deleted I’m so mad
