Magic bean challenge

You need to buy a magical tree stump, then either click on the magic bean in your inventory or click on the tree stump, and choose the option to plant the seed in the stump.

How do I complete the plantsim beans mission. I have planted the big magical tree with the 6 emotional beans. But the event task wont complete.

In order for this to work, you need to select the seed from your sims inventory and click plant seed from there and that should complete the task. 

The people having this issue have said the issue was this option was not appearing.  It appears--in at least my case--to be a conflict between the newly acquired items and identical existing inventory items.

No, I tried that early on.  What did work was getting rid of any beans I had acquired prior to the event, so I only had the two beans acquired when fulfilling the quest.

You only need to place one Magic bean in the stump. Try buying another magic stump, then click on the stump and see if you have the interaction to plant the magic bean that you have in your inventory into the stump.

The challenge is to get the two beans from other Sims and place in the stump.  It isn't responding. I have another in the inventory the same as one of the new ones. I'll try getting rid of it and see if that helps.

HelloSim_MRM​ Do you have another magic bean in your inventory to plant into the stump? There may not be an option to plant the magic bean there if you don’t have another one in your inventory to place. How did you place the other two beans into the stump?

I don't have the option to plant the bean or water the stump. All I get is "Put in inventory".--no other option. The two beans were from the challenge.  It's the same whether the beans are in the stump or in inventory or on the ground. Tried them all.

Buying the tree or planting something in it ?

Any mods/cc ?
