Missing tree skirt/present pile under tree

ACTUALLY I've had this issue ever since I installed Seasons - I've not once had a Winterfest go smoothly with the tree.

The issue happens more often when I place the tree on a rug, but lately the rug barely matters - you decorate with treeskirt and it doesn't show, even though the glittery fx show that it was completed.

You place the present pile and it also doesn't show, and therefore cannot be accessed. If and when Father Winter shows up, the presents he adds to the pile ALSO do not show.

PLEASE please fix this - I love Winterfest, and just ONCE I would like it to work - JUST ONCE!

DO WE HAVE ANY UPDATES ON THIS ISSUE? It's annoying wasting half the day decorating a tree only to have the treeskirt not appear and thus be unable to place a visible present pile under the tree. 

When the present piile is invisible, there is no option to open presents, which negates the entire point of having the tree in the first place.

Please let me know what you need. I can make videos of my sims decorating the tree and having the skirt not appear. The skirt is the biggest issue - I've never had anything else be invisible, and it seems to be the only decoration that effects the actual presents.

I play on a fairly powerful gaming system amd ryzen with 16 gb dedicated video ram. There shouldn't be a computer issue, this is definitely a game issue. NO MODS.

Just to be clear, SOMETIMES if you try a new tree it will work, but usually not, then you've wasted TWICE as much time, decorating TWO trees. I ALWAYS try the tree skirt first now for this reason.

Please ask the team to look into this - it really makes Winterfest unplayable for me.

Do we know if the team will address this? It is definitely still an issue here.....

Hi! Because I've been having this issue with my legacy family, and I REALLY wanted to play with the Christmas tree for Christmas winterfest whatever, I decided to try something for kicks & giggles AND IT WORKED!

In the spot I wanted to place the tree, I drew a room with a fence and completely removed that section of floor.

Then I added a deck piece to fill the hole and put flooring back on

The tree worked again! I could add a treeskirt, and therefore presents.

This is obviously not optimal BUT IT CAN BE A WORKAROUND 🙂

So this seemed fixed for a while and then started happening again. this time it seems to have something to do with platforms....

I'm having the same problem! I just got around to celebrating Christmas in my game so I'm really bummed out. 

Someone elsewhere mentioned needing the present pile from decorations? I'm going to try that, but I think this may be a legitimate bug.

it doesn't seem to be a 100% of the time bug if you know what I mean - it doesn't ALWAYS happen 100% of the time - I usually have them decorate tree skirt first to see if it glitches. if the tree skirt works fine, the present pile usually does too

I have this bug right now as I'm playing, it's currently Winterfest. We have a skirt, they placed presents but the presents and skirt never show.

I tried deleting the rug, nothing. Moved the tree, nada. The only workaround I found for the sake of completing the holiday is the present pile decoration, it functions as the same pile of presents around the tree.

is your room on a foundation or platform? I've found platforms are MUCH more buggy with the tree than foundations. The house I had for that legacy family I finally canned the platforms and put the entire thing on a foundation instead and mostly stopped having issues. I think a lot of this issue stems from platforms. I'm sorry my previous ad nauseum posts weren't more concise.
