'More choices' is the only option instead of greeting
My sim has been busy trying to get signatures to repeal Caring is Sharing. It didn't work the first week so she waited until Friday to restart the process. She has the trait that makes other sims like her with a nice greeting, so she canvasses outside her house. But sometimes, and it seems to be when she is already in conversation, or has another autonomous action queued, when I click another sim for her to greet, the only option I get is 'more choices' > convince to> bathe. with a speech bubble to say no shower or tub on the lot! She's outside on the street!
My question is, is this something that happens, or just something buggy? She was the adult in my 7 toddler family, so has high parenting skill, so does have the convince interaction.
@jeni2810, I've sometimes got similar interactions (though I can't remember if convince was one of them, as I think I've got other very limited and very unuseful choices). I think this usually happens when the Sim you are trying to talk to has already stared to leave, or when they are just arriving to the area as well. I think it is the games way of saying they are unavailable right now. 🤔 If they just have arrived, try again in a few moments and talk to someone else in the mean time. 🙂 Sometimes this will clear up if you do that and you can talk to them! 🙌 Other times it doesn't, especially if they are in the process of leaving. 😕
I can't say that this is also your case, but it sounds very similar to the cases I've encountered. Some of my Sims have the convince interaction unlocked due to their high parenting skill, but not all of them, so that might be why I can't remember if I've only gotten the choice to convince before or not. I probably have. 😉
