MY HUSBAND WAS KILLED BY GRIM REAPER?!

@gmarie413, if the Grim Reaper came to the lot after your Sim was electrocuted, then he died of electrocution from the stove, and not from the Grim Reaper.  The Grim will only show up after a Sim dies, so unless the Grim was there for another Sim dying, or if one of your Sims had befriended him and invited him over, then the reason he came was because your Sim was already dying.  🤨  (Unless, of course, you have Mods or Custom Content (CC) in your game, in which case a lot of strange things can happen.😉 )  

But if you don't have Mods/CC, then your game is acting as it is supposed to. 😉 In the future, keep in mind that any electronics can either give a mild shock, or one big enough to kill your Sim.  This is more likely to happen if they have low Handiness skill. Also, it is common if your Sim has already been electrocuted once before and they still have the Moodlet from this -- getting shocked again can be fatal.  If your Sim has low Handiness, then either hire a Repairman or replace the broken electronics. 

If you Sim had other family members or roommates at home at the time the Grim came, you could have had one of them plead for your Sims life.  Sometimes the Grim will listen to their pleas and restore the dead Sim's life.  Or if one of the other Sims in your household has a Death Flower, they can give it to the Grim and he will always bring the dead Sim back.  But once the Grim leaves, this isn't an option anymore. ☹️ You can also quit your game without saving if something like this happens again.  But I assume you have already saved your game.  

In that case, you Sim might come back as a ghost.  At first they won't be playable, but they can become playable. To have your Sim come back as a ghost, you need to keep their tombstone or urn on the lot and it helps to strengthen their ties to the physical world (option on tombstone or urn).  (Whatever you do, don't release their spirit.)  Or, sometimes you can restore a Ghost's life if you have the Book of Life (which you get by completing the Best Selling Author Aspiration), or if you have mastered the Cooking skill and Gourmet Cooking skill and have all the right rare ingredients you can make Ambrosia. 

You never answered if you play with Mods/CC or not.  This is important because Mods/CC can become outdated and mess with your game in strange ways.  if you do play with Mods/CC and if some of the Mods/CC is outdated, then even the normal ways to bring back a Sim to life might not work.  😞
