My Sims can't travel to public places

Question

I can click the travel icon in my street and use my phone to click travel. It takes me to a map of the neighbourhood. If I click on residential properties, a car icon (confirm) appears in the bottom right, but if I click on public places, the car icon isn't there (see attachments)

I'm not playing with any CCs or mods, but I recently downloaded some add-ons (Romantic Garden Stuff, First Pet Stuff, Luxury Party Stuff, Jungle Adventure, Holiday Celebration Pack, Fashion Street Kit and Backyard Stuff.

I've tried repairing the game and add-ons several times but it's still not doing anything.

@Closingwinter1 Did you delete all your cache files:

https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/delete-cache-files/ ?Really a bit unsure what else to suggest especially since it works for residential lots.Is it any kind of community ? What happens if you switch a community to residential, does it start working ?

EDIT: Are you clicking on the actual lot or the neighborhood icon ?

Newcrest doesn't have any community lots.

I just tested a new save and a really old game and it's still not working .
