Soooo I started this household with the two parents already married, now I'm a fair bit down the line, they've gotten divorced and the ex-husband is in a relationship with another woman (a mistress, gasp!). But they're not really in a relationship? The 'ask to be boyfriend/girlfriend' option never showed up. I play with mods, so I tried moving the mods folder and opening the game up vanilla, still no option. I went in to CAS with cas.fulleditmode on and changed their relationship to 'partners' to see if either of them could propose, but no. I feel like I've tried everything and this is ruining my storyyyy ;-; Any help is very much appreciated! <3P.S. The guy was non-committal, but I removed the trait in CAS a while back, he was still getting negative buffs from it though, so I added it back and then removed it using UI cheats in case that's what was causing the issue, still nothing though... Help!

Ask to Just Be Friends seems to zero out the Romance bar but doesn't remove it. It worked for me with Sims who were Engaged or Partners, and ended the Engagement or Partnership. It also worked with Sims who didn't have a commited relationship. I didn't try it with any married Sims.

@Sketch793 No, I meant if you have the ask to be partner/propose options ? They are under relationship now, right ? EDIT: Have a new couple now in my game and they have the option: Ask to be romantic partner under relationship (no sub menu)

I'm having this issue as well and I only have the options to be woohoo partners or friends, no ask to be partner anywhere :/

@RachelMellema If you have “ask to be friends” it sounds like they’re already partners? Do you have propose?

Unfortunately the option to "ask to be partner/boyfriend" never came up, so they're not partners. Unless that mechanic has changed? They have full friendship and full romance, but the only options I'm getting are: "Ask if single" and "Ask about romantic interests". Under Relationship in their profile it just says "Good compatibility" and "Soulmates" but nothing like boyfriend, partner, husband, etc. Under Change Relationship I have options of "Ask to just be friends", "Become best friends" and "Ask to reconsider romantic boundaries". I don't have propose either.

@RachelMellema Could you post a pic of both profiles ?

As you do have the ask to be just friends it does implicate that the game thinks they are in a relationship.

I thought the same thing but it turns out that Ask To Just Be Friends becomes available as soon as they have a romantic relationship bar (the pink one).
