No way to apply makeup/accesories/hats/nail polish to all outfits

In The Sims 4, setting a hairstyle in Everyday sets the same hairstyle to every other category. This is very helpful, because most of the time people want the same hair for all or most outfits. However, for some reason, no such feature exists for things like makeup, glasses, nail polish etc which means players have to go through all or most categories and click the same thing over and over again. I would like to ask that the existing feature allowing hair to be set to all outfit categories at once be applied to makeup, accessories, hats and nail polish. Or, better yet, an option to directly choose to apply something to desired outfit categories.
Pretty please?

It is probably meant to reflect on real life where no woman I know would use the same makeup for everyday, fitness, party and so on.

  • This is one of the most annoying features to sims 4. I wish there was this option. It frustrates me to no end when I make my sims look pretty in her everyday outfit and then I switch one catergory along and suddenly she's wearing glasses, 7 different rings, a horrific combination of makeup, and a fedora. Like no let me copy it over. I'd be much happier removing content I've chosen on another outfit, than removing random accessories which makes the sim look like they got ready in the dark.

I hate it when they use glasses for sleepwear. No real person would want to sleep with their glasses on.

I don't know of anyone with facial piercings like the ones in DU and Eco who takes them out on the regular, definitely not to go to sleep. If nothing else I'd like to be able to copy specific accessories/makeup/whatever across outfit categories and then instead of adding them back in each time, remove them from the outfits where they don't make sense (like glasses for sleepwear).

Another useful thing would be if accessories were actually catergorised correctly. Like glasses and makeup not being able to be selected with a sleepwear tag.

@limiV I agree! I feel like I spend twice the amount of time in CAS on sims with makeup, just scrolling and scrolling. I also constantly feel the need to go to the everyday outfit just to see what makeup/glasses etc. I used in order to replicate it.

Firstly, the basegame makeup/glasses etc. is at the bottom of the menus, which is what I use ton just about all my sims. I either need to scroll down in every category, or go into the filter and click in basegame only, but it's such a pain as it often resets.

Secondly, now that we can make custom makeup shades, I find it even more strange that we can't copy makeup over to another outfit. Instead I need to save it as a new custom shade, even if I only intend to use it for that one sim, which takes up a spot of the limited number that you can save.

    Rant over, haha.
  • Yeah, I'd love to just be able to say "this sim is always wearing their wedding ring" (hmm, or maybe in *one* outfit they're not...) Or sometimes I make a really poor sim and want to say they only have two sets of clothes and one pair of shoes. Like, I can, but it's slow.
