PC The Sims 4 Long Life Span Bug (breaks game so its unplayable)

I want to talk about something you don't mention above: The Sims 4 (PC) - sims life spam (long) bugging and stopping game working
How accessible is the current experience? It's overall fine
Summarize what in the product is difficult to use. The Sims 4 is a great game and works and runs great on my laptop even on max settings for everything however one issue I have had is that there is no auto saving. And so if something glitches or messes up and it makes it so that the world isnt playable and I havent saved recently enough I end up losing my progress. A example of this whih has happeend a number of times now is that I have set my Sims life span to max (long) so that they dont age too quickly and the game bugs and says that a sim is aging when none of my sims are anywhere near aging and I cant save, edit the plot, travel, go to work or anything. Im stuck doing nothing but watching.
How is this making it more difficult? It ends up making it so that I am able to do nothing at all other than watch the sims and wait and hope that it fixes itself as I cant do anything. And when it gets to the point where I have waited a hour or two for something to fix or someone to age, even after I set the sim life span to short no one ages and I end up having to exit the save and everything I have done is lost. Even if I save 20 minutes before it happens I end up losing a tonne of progress and at times that save even bugs or the same bug happens within the exact same amount of time so I lose everything and have to start all over again.
How can we reproduce this experience? If you set the life span to long, give the sims the basic needs to survive and life and jobs (to make things a bit quicker and easier) and give them the trates that make it so they dont need to talk, eat, sleep, clean or anything of the sort and you would just have to wait a while until you are unable to do anything in the way of travel, edit, save or anything of the sort.

I would like to see this changed by having auto saving be added as a option and possibly be able to set how often it saves just so that if the game bugs there will be a save set as backup in order to try and change things so it doesnt bug the same way. And I would really like to possibly see a way to have a option to debug this. Even if its a case of the sim has to age once or anything of the sort but right away (I have tried cake but it doesnt work either). Or if this bug can be fixed as it has happened more than 5 times on 5 different saves doing different jobs and perks and all and ive lost more than 60 hours of game time not including going back to a previous save to try and do it differently in the hope it doesnt bug on me all over again.

I hope this can and will be sorted and fixed or that something can be done to make it far less likely.
