rose84007 The pet food does actually go bad if it sits for over a day and isn't eaten. You should empty the bowl and refill it, or your pet's likely to throw up after eating and I think will also be more likely to get sick.
(And if you have an auto-feeder and the food keeps going bad, adjust the timer on it. It really only needs to be once or twice a day unless you have a lot of pets, or a glutton pet)
