Plants cared for but dying anyway

I'm in Innisgreen on a brand new save and there seems to be an issue with plants that are just dying for no reason. My sim tends to them, weeding spraying for bugs watering, ect, the plants are sheltered but groups of 4 plants at a time just randomly die. I tried turning on the better soil lot trait. I also tried to hire a gardener and they don't show. I have no mods. Yes I have seasons the plants however are sheltered.

Are they planted in the ground or in planters? If planters, which ones?

I was watching them go from nothing wrong to green gas above and no gnomes were on my lot at the time

Is it possible that gnomes did wreck your garden, or did you see it happen and they just died with no obvious cause? Asking because I’ve seen a few people complaining about the effects of gnomes in the world apparently due to outbreaks of the gnome ailment among the townies.

It starts with 2-4 at a time they just go from fine to dead in a swoop, its almost like the effects of when the gnomes wreck your garden but I didn't have the ailment, or any ailments at the time.

Ahh did they changed how that worked in this that if you don't fertilize it kills them even if nothing else is wrong then? Before it would just help skill up plants faster. Because other than that everything on the garden is tended and I don't got a gnome ailment. Doing a repair fixed the gardener coming at least.

Are you fertilizing your plants? The "Tend Garden" action will water and weed anything that needs it, but it won't fertilize anything.

  • Is this happening with all your plants or only some of them?
