Rainbow dress and heterosexual weddings?

I’ve held three weddings since the patch that gave us the rainbow dress. Two were Male/Female and one was Female/Female.

The brides at the m/f weddings both ended up in the pride dress. Neither bride at the f/f wedding wore it.

This seems… not optimal. Okay, it seems inappropriate. I’m honestly not over fond of the dress (sorry), but I’d like it better if it was worn at a f/f wedding. It feels like appropriation. “Look how gay I am! I’m a straight woman marrying a straight man! And I’m proud!”

Sorry!

I do have video of the f/f wedding, but not of the other two... https://youtu.be/g9bKpvCQ6rg   I do have this picture from Discord...

  • Yeah, I ended up setting a wedding dress as a second formal outfit in a non-rotational save after the second time I got the pride dress at a heterosexual wedding. She ended up marrying in navy blue. 😉 (Her regular formal outfit.)

I’ve always been afraid of setting wedding dresses as the first formal outfit in a rotational save. Except for the challenge I’m doing now, most of my Sims only marry once and I’m always afraid I’ll forget to unset it and they’ll show up to someone else’s wedding in a wedding dress when I’m not playing them. I guess I got used to the one really obvious wedding dress always being what they RNG and got lazy. 😉

I’m not sure what it says about me that I’m more worried about what they’ll wear to someone else’s wedding when I’m not playing them than what they wear to their own. 😂

Prior to the wedding you can set what you want as one of their formal dresses. Then if the game chooses something you don't like you can click on your sim and select choose outfit. If you get My Dream Wedding game pack you should be able to choose the dress during planning of the wedding.
