Re: Adult sims being scared of thunderstorms

@Veykek The only way really is to get the storm chaser sim reward aspiration it's stops Sims getting the scared or tense moodlit from thunderstorms.

    Thanks Rachel,
Do you know if the developers frequent this message board at all?

Ah okay. I need to find a way to contact them about it I guess. I am looking to suggest a change to the game than a workaround. 🙂

Greetings @Veykek , thanks for raising this question about thunderstorms.

As @PoptartJuniper commented, this is an intended design decision that the developers have made, or it is in-fact working as intended. While it may seem silly to you, many adults are afraid of thunderstorms (I myself being one of them 😳). Since this is intentional, the team won't be making changes to it at this time.

In regards to staff visiting the boards, we are definitely around and responding. We have a great team of around 30 staff across the forums checking in, replying, notating feedback and issues, and producing reports that go to the studios on matters within the boards. While we're definitely reading the content that gets posted, due to the sheer volume that gets posted we typically limit replies to game critical issues, heavily engaged threads, and threads that we can provide a definite solution for at the time. We are also supported by a great group of highly knowledgeable volunteers that help answer some of the more common questions and concerns, you may have seen them around: the Heroes and Champions, these users have extensive knowledge of the game and have extended access to EA staff to gain clarity on pressing issues.

While you're more than welcome to provide this feedback on the Sims Games forum, the answer will remain the same that it is working as designed.

Thank you for the explanation, it's good to know that you are present, even if not always seen.

I just love it when my storm chaser Sims are wondering about in the storm and get hit by lightning. Their moods turns into energetic for a couple of hours and they definitely get more work done than normally. As soon as my toddler Sims age up and have enough aspiration points I buy them this reward. After that there is no problem anymore. To me it is all in the game.

    Have fun playing. 😉
