What would you expect to be different between a Sim that owns a pet, and another one who also lives in the house but is not the owner?

the loyal trait does not mean much if the pet is loyal to anyone who moves in

I would like that trait to be exclusive to the owner

thank you @EA_Mai speaking of adoption I think sims should get a whim to adopt kids I think that would add a lot to the 

game and it seems odd that they only want to make babies not adopt them I know its off topic but its been on my mind for awhile

I have a personal built apartment lots(1 room per 1 person), and 4-7 different sims live in each lots.

It'll be nice if I could set an ownership for specific household sim. Pet could re-use parent-child relationship code.
