I am now also getting a bug where I am getting the same gig over and over. I have renovated the Goth house 4 different times and it is just: add a level.
It is not a bug that you can get callbacks from clients. Even if you failed a gig you may get that. I have so far renovated 4 rooms in the same house and they love it each time. If you don't want to do it simply select another gig.
You mention using 4 hours to chat before starting to redecorate. Even using all gig related options I can not make it take more than two hours in a house with 4 clients. Cut down on regular chat. If your sim gets involved in regular chatting don't feel bad about cancelling it so you can get on with the gig.
Edit. At the reveal there are also chatting also keep this gig related. And a tip. You have to point out at least three things but if they are not ready with their final verdict point out everything else until they are ready with a verdict.
Awesome I will try that thank you! But what I mean by the same gig, it does not say returning client or whatever it is the EXACT same gig. For example "Goth add floor $25,000" and it does not go away.
Since it can not be completed (there is a bug thread about that) it will stay forever (or until the bug is fixed). I have listed how to workaround this from Manage World elsewhere and the mentioned bug thread also contains that description.
