Re: Early access patreon charges vs new TOS?

Early access IS paywall. Is it accessible to the public, for free? No. It doesn't matter if it's only for X amount of days, you are still selling and making a profit off the CC for an amount of time. Sorry. That is NOT. FREE.

Since it was just confirmed that early access isn't banned, you didn't have truth and early access isn't paywall. Have a nice day

The policy before it was edited did state that early access was against TOS. The new addition made early access an exception to the non-commercial rule. That person did have the truth, based on what the policy said at the time.

  • @frogcandles honestly Id wager say .. they changed stances when added because of the massive backlash was happening in regard to removal. Save assets type thing. Not really retracting technically cos wasn't "specific" mention regardless wording lol

It didn't? That is why creators were confused in a first place? Because it specifically didn't ban early access?

The new addition just cleared out something that wasn't clear in a first version. Based on what the policy said, the person didn't have truth, because early access wasn't specifically mentioned.

I think EA basically said that pay walls weren't allowed but I don't see them doing anything about creators with paywalls so.....
