Found a solution! Bought a mini fridge from the thing you can get info/ buy stuff from on campus. Dragged it from inventory and can now have quick meals etc.

@leyacakes_16, and you can also get a microwave from the same place you bought the mini fridge, and even set the microwave on the fridge! Then you will have even more options for food! 🙂 You can also go to the student commons and get a cafeteria meal at certain times (these meals are free! 🙌) , and there is a bakery kiosk near the student commons as well. If an event is going on outdoors (like spirt squad or the robot competition, there will also be a food cart that sells meals. My Sim got Tabouleh once and shish kababs the next time! (The bakery kiosk an the food cart do require Simoleans, though. )
@jonno1312, I think the food spawning out of the mirror is just because the bathroom mirrors are centrally located. 😉 Still, would prefer the food to come from the elevator, but at leas the food is free! 😃And of course you can use the free build cheat like Crinrict suggested to either add vending machines, or make your own cafeteria. 😉
