When @jpkarlsen says "rare", those rare grafts are Very Rare! At least in my game. I had the same issue, and just wanted to assure you that they do eventually show up - but it can take a long time. I grafted several plant combos and it took several Sim days/months to have orchids show up. I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but none of my rare grafts produced the desired plant until they hit "excellent" level and my Sim got to level 10 Gardening. I grafted onto them when they were "nice" level. Harvest or sell everything every day to force another roll of the grafting die.

I ended up getting both orchid and death flower from buying the rarest seed packets. Hint - buy 10 or so seed packets, save your game, then if you don't get anything you want from the seed packets, exit without saving and go back in and try again. Saves a lot of simoleans. 🙂
