- @madhatter3010 it's a little while since I've done it but with NPC voting turned off I think it just goes through when your Sim does it, try and vote yourself a few times if it lets you do it. I'm trying to remember if I did that.
But if not, to get votes all you would need to do is chat with neighbours and it pops up in conversation. I used to use Flatter and Heartfelt Compliment to butter them up to get their votes. The Friendly Introduction reward trait helped too.
But I've had NPC voting turned off for a long time now and I think the repeal goes through, if not use my second answer.
With the electric shutdown all I'd do was visit another world for the day. That way it didn't affect my Sim. I had it when my farmer moved to the Bramblewood. He had the Simple Living lot trait and all his produce went off in the fridge. So I'd send him to his retail lot to stay in his trailer or send him fishing.
But you might want to check other neighbourhoods too as NAPs may be running there too. The most disruptive are Free Love where you will see a lot of romantic interactions everywhere and I found it quite disconcerting and We Wear Bags is another one as they will all have bags on their heads (Jeb Harris always has a bag on his head though so ignore him). So if you have someone live in the affected neighbourhood Fri to Mon you can get rid of those NAPs too. Click on mailboxes to see, or for Evergreen Harbour click community boards.
