Recover ghosts

 Is there any way to recover a dead sim if you can no longer find the dead sim at all? I want to save this family with two people revived so i can play them again on another save and take a different route in their lives. Do I just have to suck it up and fully remake them or is there a way I can get them back? There's no option to summon the ghost from the tombstone and I've tried multiple tricks with MCCC to summon them but it just says Not Found. I also don't even know how they got deleted. I didn't delete them.
