Scientist coworkers always deny having metals and crystals

Question

I have a sim in the science career who is max friendly with all of her coworkers. Despite this I have not once successfully had a coworker give my sim a metal or crystal when asked nor let her take a DNA sample(which makes it impossible to complete the daily task for it).

I cant improve their relationships any more and I'm all out of ideas on how to get this work. This is a brand new save not even a week old, I do have mods but none of them affect the science career in any way shape or form.

Please follow these steps to test &nbsp;your game on vanilla game with no mods/cc
- Create a backup of your save game- Move your mods folder to the desktop- Delete the following files from your user folder.&nbsp; - localthumbcache&nbsp; - Any lastException Files&nbsp; - Any LastCrash files.- Test on the backup of your save as you will loose all cc on the save and see if the same error occurs, then report back.

Did as instructed. Had her ask every single coworker I could for a crystal and a metal. Results are 1/8 did actually give me a crystal but nothing else. Not sure if everyone just hates my sim or she's ridiculously unlucky? Like she does have the evil and grouch traits but she is good friends with all of them and never once been mean to them...
