Sdx drops when Offline?

I was playing offline through the 8/19 update (as i always do with every update), and when I opened the game, got a notification about an SDX drop being available. My settings are to only have SDX drops when I open the game, but I thought I had to be online.I refused it, because I was afraid it would put me online. I've heard from other players that they saw the same, accepted the drop, and still stayed offline. So what gives- how can we get SDX drops when we are offline?

    annh1996​  Online Social Access Features also governs time-limited events, so it may apply to SDX drops as well.  But you can just tell the game not to download SDX drops until you check for them manually.

    The EA app was offline.  Online Social access is enabled but I thought that only applied to the gallery, which as I understand can only be accessed if the EA app is online. I am on the EA app on a Macbook Pro M3.

    I was in offline mode too in the EA app, but I didn't disable Online Social Access in the Option menu, this is why we got the SDX drop while "offline". Sincerely I don't even know what I got with that, I check all the CAS menus and I didn't see anything new.

    annh1996​  When you say you were offline, do you mean the EA App was in offline mode, or you'd disabled Online Social Access in the game options, or what?  Please also list your platform.
