Selecting a laptop for Sims
@absigailll For £600, you could get a proper gaming laptop, capable of running the game on high/ultra settings, even with all packs installed. In fact, this one is on sale for £500 and has a graphics chip that could handle at least a mix of high and ultra settings:
Its hardware is from two years ago, hence the price drop, but it's still more than capable of running Sims 4.
An alternate choice would be this one, for £600. It's essentially the same computer as above but a year newer. Performance should be pretty much the same though.

For £630, you could get a laptop with a significantly faster graphics card, one that can handle ultra settings with some room to spare. It may or may not always be able to maintain ultra settings—we don't know how demanding future packs will be—but it should still handle at least a mix of high and ultra even when the game is out of development.
The only other laptops I saw in this category have weaker hardware and wouldn't run the game nearly as well. But if you'd like to see other options, please let me know what details matter to you.
