@crinrict Hey Crin! Thank you for the reply. You want me to see if I can make the same thing happen again? I don't know.. I can try... there was another sim from a welcome wagon (from a totally different save file) that walked infinitely into the sea in Sulani but I found it funny and it was before this bug happens so I didn't reset them and I didn't encounter this bug then. This infinite walk was similar to what happened right before the vanishing bug occurred.
I tried attaching two videos from this infinite walk here but it gave me the invalid extension error even after I zipped it. It's nothing special, just a townie walking forward under the sea with a fruit cake in her hand so I don't think it's a necessary footage to share but if you think it will help, let me know so I share it with you somehow. I can also share both my saves if it helps.
I played my the save before this bug occurred (this one as well had the two mods I mentioned, MCCC and cake mod) and I noticed two of her everyday clothes were completely randomized. I mean like a normal townie. But I did play a few hours without experiencing the vanishing bug at all. I'll let you know if it happens again. I'll try to do some test runs without the mods too and see if I can pinpoint when and how this happens... if it happens again at all.
