Sims Romantic Preference Keeps Changing

My sims romantic preference and woohoo preference are both set to men. When they're interacting with female sims they get a flirty buff and start to form a romantic relationship. In the simology panel, I see that my sims preferences have changed to men and women. This has happened in three different saves. I have to change it constantly in CAS as this happens whenever my sim performs more than one or two social interactions with a female sim.

  • I repaired my game without creating a new folder. The interactions didn't lead to the issue I was experiencing before.

  • Could you please provide the following information

    -  Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.

I removed the mods from my game. My sim is in Innesgreen speaking with the old lady fairy. Before quitting my last session I reset his romantic preferences and sexuality. I had him ask to just be friends to end their romantic relationship. Immediately she flirted with my sim and I checked his simology panel and it had reverted back to his preferences being for men and women.

    Try the following

    - Close the game
    - Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    - Repair the game
    - Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
    - Start a new save game
    - Check if you still have the error
    - Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
