Sims won't publish books or play violins

Super frustrating. I've noticed two recent issues.

#1 - My Sims won't publish any book. After they finish writing the book I can see in their inventory and they can do everything with the book but publish it. If I click on the mailbox the publish option won't come up. I've noticed this with a couple different.

#2 - None of my Sims will play a violin. If I click on it they will walk over to the violin, but then glitch and then stand beside it.

Can anyone help with this?

To be honest I'm not quite sure. When I went to play it I noticed that I could publish the books again. I found the files that you were speaking about, but I hadn't done anything with them yet. I tried the same with the violin and it worked as well.

@kaleneaj Maybe just some lingering stuff that made the bug still be present that resolved itself then.
