Sims wont work even though I deleted everything

I finally decided to try and get my sims to work after giving up on it ages ago but now it seems to be even worse. I deleted and redownloaded the whole game and packs, all the mods, the saves folder and the tray folder. I also deleted the whole sims 4 file on my mac to reset the whole thing so there are no old files in there at all. The game for the load up is all running fine now but in cas, suddenly my traits are gone and it looks like this. I also have been given the option on the left side to choose death option? I don't even have the life or death pack. It wont allow me to choose traits at all. It just takes me to preferences and I have no idea how to fix thissss. someone help because it also wont let me seek help from an ea advisor.
