Small Business won't Open and Can't Buy Small Venue.

I changed a retail lot to a small business venue and it won't let me buy it. Then I tried saving it to the gallery, placing it on a different lot as a small business venue and it worked on the other lot.  So I saved the working one and placed it on the lot it wouldn't let me buy and it let me buy it but now it won't open.

In another instance I tried changing a retail lot to a small business it let me buy it but won't let me open it. I hit the button to open it and tried using the signs but nothing happen. So I saved it and placed it on another lot (that was never a retail lot) as a business venue and it worked. Tried saving the working one to the gallery and replacing the broken one and still can't open it.

I think there is an issue when it comes to changing a retail lot to a small business venue. I haven't noticed any other lots in my game having this issue YET. I disabled my mods and nothing is working. I don't know what to do. Is there some other way I can work around this issue?

    I think if you make it residential first, then move ur sim to that lot and use the phone, you can make it a small business venue.

    I’m having the same problem. I built a lot already under the small business preset and my SIM had no problems buying it but anything I try, won’t let me open the business at all.

    I have the same problem.. But when I opened small business in my apartment, then it was okay. Don't get it.

    My problem is the same. I cannot open the business. It tells me to select and manage small business through the small business settings - but the lot was built on small business lot in the first place. I play on PC. I removed all mods and tried selling the business - it gave me 240 simoleans for a much more expensive business building and lot [done on separate home lot] - BUT it tells me I am still the registered business owner - but the business cannot open. So I bulldosed the lot, and put it back from the gallery - now it tells me I am still already the registered owner, but cannot open the business, as it is not the registered business on that lot. Help.
