The Setback Quest

I am stuck on this quest "Repair or Replace the Computer" because my sim is magic and they repaired the pc in question with a spell. I have destroyed the computer and replaced it through setting it on fire, I've bought a new computer, but nothing is letting this goal get achieved. Am I just stuck now?
