The Sims 4: Harry Potter
I'd like to recommend a collaboration between EA & Warner Bros for a Harry Potter themed The Sims 4. Is there a way to recommend games?

- @JayGPennox It would be so cool, as there are expansion packs for city living, the new island pack and more a harry potter pack would be genius. You know how there are a certain amount of houses and bars in each town, what about one big house being Hogwarts and then other places like platform 9 3/4. Or Malfoy Manner, and shops like the brother's candy shop. Along with Hogwarts, the main big place in the middle of the sim town. There you would meet other wizards, etc. Then once you finish high school you can move into a house and send your kids to Hogwarts or another school in the wizarding world. I think that would be so amazing. I would buy in legit an instance.
- @JayGPennox YES, YES, YES! I guarantee that a Harry Potter expansion pack would be extremely popular and massively profitable; even people who don’t play The Sims would buy the game and start playing it purely for the HP expansion.
It would definitely need to be an EP, not a game pack, though. You could go to Hogwarts & if depending on the subjects excelled at, you could unlock certain branches of employment at the Ministry, or become a teacher in that subject. You could start a club like The Order of the Phoenix or the Death Eaters. You could pick a side, to back Voldemort or fight for Muggle/Wizard community. You could be a spy, a double agent like Snape. If you got certain skills high enough, like transfiguration, you could transfigure normal stuff into more valuable things to sell them; if your legilimency skill is high enough, you can learn secrets about other sims, etc. There could be different Houses that would influence how you react to different sims and situations.
A Harry Potter expansion pack DEFINITELY needs to happen! And potions! Realm of Magic has potions, but it could be expanded on, where you can invent your own potions.
And, if you were a strong enough wizard & intelligent enough, you could create spells - that would be VERY hard to program, though...@jaymiex89 , while I don't think this is as likely now that we have Spellcasters from Realm Of Magic (GP), I guess it would still be possible if they focused on teaching children magic by going off to Hogwarts! 🥳 That was one of the things I didn't like about Realm of Magic since almost everyone is familar with Harry Potter and many fans would want to recreate the characters from the books and movies in the game, which we can't do for their early years with ROM only allowing teens and older to be Spellcasters. 😢
Still, like others have said above, I would imagine that it would be expensive to enter into a contract with Warner Brothers and JKR, but you never know! 🙌- @PugLove888 It would be expensive but I would imagine EA already has the rights as they made the previous Harry Potter games. Plus, they would definitely get their money back and profit as the Harry Potter community is huge even to this day

@jayglover158 , yes, but rights to these titles can expire. 😞 I don't know when these types of rights normally expire but I do know for example that in TS3 the license for Katy Perry's Sweet Treats is no longer active, as you can't by that pack on Origin anymore. According to Fandom Wiki, it only lasted a year. While contracts like these might vary depending on each individual contract, It is reasonable to think that the license with Harry Potter probably has also ran out since the last game EA did with Harry Potter was in 2011. 😢
The rights for Harry Potter games are now back at Warner Bros.
